Renowned at the international stage for kids' fashions, Pitti Bimbo is famous for its fashion shows and for the high quality of its presentations, settings and events that involve the entire city of Florence . There is constant growth among the international establishment brands that choose to launch their junior collections in Florence, strengthening the offers of Pitti Bimbo and Sport Generation, the sections dedicated to children's wear labels and collections from the big names in big people's fashions.

The trade show attendants often take advantage of the opportunity to explore the beautiful Tuscany town during the Pitti Immagine fairs . The central location of the venue allows for visiting nearby sights such as the Pitti Palace, the Uffizi Gallery, the intricate basilicas and gardens. The Fortezza da Basso itself is a gigantic fortress, whose stellar shape constituted an example to imitate for beyond a century. It was meant to provide a sure shelter to the governors in revolt case, but above all it had to impress.

Prices in Tuscany are traditionally high during the summer, including surrounding towns such as Sienna, Lucca, even Pisa with its international airport. In order to attract business travelers, some hotels offer free shuttles to the venue or offer special rates.
